MathEditor is designed with your privacy as a fundamental principle. We believe that mathematical expression should not come at the cost of your personal data. This policy outlines our data practices in plain language.
We collect no personal data. Period. MathEditor runs entirely in your browser. Your formulas, history, favorites, and preferences are stored locally using your browser's localStorage — they never leave your device.
We use content delivery networks (CDNs) to serve KaTeX (math rendering), html2canvas (PNG export), and web fonts. These services may log standard HTTP request data (IP address, browser type) as part of normal CDN operations. We do not control their data practices.
If we change our data practices in the future, we will update this page and note the date of the last revision. We will never retroactively change how we handle your data without your explicit consent.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, please open an issue on our project repository.
